Col. Andrew B. Hyatt (Ret.) began his Air Force career in October 1999 with the Kansas Air National Guard's Early Commission Program for medical students. He attended the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine and graduated as a Distinguished Graduate in May 2003. After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University, he served as a flight surgeon during his residency and was deployed to Iraq, logging over 97 combat flight hours. His education also includes a B.A. in Zoology from Southern Utah University, and he is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy.
Dr. Hyatt transferred to the Missouri Air National Guard in 2008, serving as the Chief of Clinical Services and playing a key role in Operation Coronet Oak and the 2010 earthquake response in Chile. In 2019, he became the State Air Surgeon of the Missouri Air National Guard. His military education includes the Air War College and multiple

Hyatt (Ret.) also works as a full-time emergency medicine physician and medical director of the local ambulance service in Cape Girardeau, MO.
